For National Pet Month P1 representatives went local! In Wichita, I personally visited our local dog parks, veterinarian clinics and even the Kansas Humane Society. Our goal was simple: learn about how we can take care of our pets while also helping others do the same.
We visited our local veterinarian clinic, Pet Haven. They were nice enough to share some advice with us on how to keep our pets healthy, safe and happy! After that we headed over to the dog park so we could hand out P1 Pet Safety Bags! This way we could help others take care of our favorite furry friends! The bag was filled with goodies and information that both the owner and the dog could enjoy!
- P1 Dog Collar
- P1 Pet Toy
- Pet Alert Sicker for 1st Responders
- Pet Safety Card
- Then of course something to chew on!
Our Pet Alert stickers can be placed in home windows to notify first responders that there are pets inside. Then the Pet Safety Card tips will help protect pets and property in case of a fire so you can leave your furry loved ones at home knowing they will be okay! We handed these bags out to the vets and to friends we made at the dog park!
After getting some great advice from Pet Haven, we headed to the Kansas Humane Society. Since we love pets so much we wanted to learn about adoption and get advice from them on how to take care of our pets.
The Kansas Humane society is a great organization that is celebrating their 125th anniversary this year! They are Wichita’s largest privately-funded, non-profit animal shelter organization. They not only offer pets for adoption, but also offer dog training classes, spay/neuter services, humane education, programs for kids, volunteer and foster opportunities and a variety of fundraising programs! Overall, it was a great month and we were happy to help celebrate National Pet Month!
