Welcome to P1’s Community Spotlights! In Community Spotlights, we interview some of our amazing P1 teammates who are volunteering or contributing to their local communities in a positive way. Today, we are putting the spotlight Ben Clark, Director of Installations in our Orem office, who has been a part of the P1 family for the past two years. Ben is working with the Wounded Warriors Family Support Foundation. Here’s our interview with Ben:
P1: What organization do you support and what do they do?
Ben: I support the Wounded Warriors Family Support Foundation. We often forget the effects on the family when a service man or woman is injured in battle. Wounded Warrior Family Support has not forgotten. Their motto is “When America goes to war, our families go to war.” This organization supports the families of our heroes that have been injured or killed serving our country. They have many programs to care for the Veteran and provide support to the family that will learn to cope with the new dynamic of caring for their loved one and the family. With this organization, we have the ability to gain a personal relationship with our local heroes as we have the ability to direct all funds that we raise.
P1: What is your role in the organization?
Ben: I lead the Protection 1 fundraising efforts for WWFS.
P1: Is there a specific event you would like to talk about?
Ben: We are holding two charity events to raise awareness and money to support the WWFS. We will be holding a golf tournament on Oct 3rd at the Sleepy Ridge Golf Course in Orem, UT. Breakfast and same day registration will begin at 7 a.m. and we start the tournament at 8 a.m. We will have a hole in one prize on every par 3 and many other prizes to be won on the course and in a raffle during lunch. All players will get some great swag for participating. You can register for the event here or contact Ben Clark by email or by phone at 801-645-8003 for more details.
Our second event will be a family fun run 5K and 1k. This event will be on Oct 25th at the Protection 1 building located at 1290 Sandhill Rd; Orem, UT. We will open same day registration at 7:30 a.m. and begin the race at 9 a.m. We will have prizes for the top finishers and raffle prizes for those that attend. You can register here or contact Ben Clark by email or by phone at 801-645-8003 for more details.
P1: Anything else you’d like to add?
Ben: This is a great organization and if anyone is looking to participate or donate to the events, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
