The P1 250,000 Step Challenge

250000-step-challenge-1024x426112The 250,000 step challenge is a 25-day challenge that encourages our employees to walk 10,000 steps a day. In return, they received a FREE pedometer and AWESOME P1 prizes.

What is it?

Quite simply, the 250,000 Step Challenge is an Every 1 Counts initiative that encourages everyone to get up and get walking. With a goal of 10,000 steps per day, the challenge will last for 25 days (in honor of P1’s 25th anniversary) which is where the name comes from. The 250,000 Step Challenge is open to all P1 employees and is completely voluntary.

How Does It Work?

After P1 family members registered, we sent them a free pedometer!

The 250,000 Step Challenge will officially run from Wednesday, September 25th until Saturday, October 19th.

  1. Wear your pedometer whenever possible. If you do an activity that is not pedometer-friendly (i.e. swimming), use our conversion chart to measure your “step-equivalent.”
  2. At the end of each day, enter the number of steps you took into our tracker.

Prizes:

The goal is to walk 10,000 steps (or step-equivalents) per day. For everyone that registers and reaches milestones of 125,000 steps and 250,000 steps, we will be sending out P1 swag items. At 125,000 steps, they will get a P1 water bottle and at 250,000 steps, we’ll send out a dry-fit P1 t-shirt. Additionally, we’ll have raffles every Monday to give away gift cards and/or P1 items to those that are participating AND we’ll have a P1 Prize Pack for the grand prize winner with the most steps!
